These are just some of the photograph taken by an exceptionally talented friend of mine. Do check out his website where there are far more beautiful photographs!
Day 7:
‘Sanzhi Pod City was a set of abandoned pod-shaped buildings in Sanzhi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan.
‘Construction began in 1978. They were intended as a vacation resort and were marketed towards U.S. military officers coming from their East Asian postings. The project was abandoned in 1980 due to investment losses.
‘Demolition of the site began in December 2008.’
And this has been Retronaut week. I hope you have enjoyed
Day 6:
Well before the time of C.O.D came Ping Pong! This is a fantiastic video with the inventor of the first video game, Ralph Baer. The game was invented in 1967 but it was in 1969 that he and colleague Bill Harrison were filmed demonstrating it.
It seems that 1969 was a fairly strong year so far!
Day 5:
The Romanov family album
Well the weekend has started and to celebrate here is the pick of the crop from what I have gleaned form the fantastic website that is How to be a Retronaut.
These are all photos taken of the Romanov family before the bolshy Bolsheviks decided to kick up a fuss. There are far more on link, but the beauty within these pictures are just stunning.
Day 4:
Famous People Hanging out
Well keeping briefly with the celebrity theme, here are a few of celebs when they happen to be between preforming and arrest. This photo is of Bob Marley and the Jackson 5 chilling by a tree.
Day 3:
The Famous friends Album.
Well the album was for the police, but ignoring that small fact, check out this fantastic collection of celebrities from the usual suspects through to some fairly unsuspecting characters!
Day 2:
While the capatilists were taking the snaps in Russia (posted yesterday) they were being rather clever chappies and creating something called ‘The Internet’ sounds strange but people gave it a go and…. well look where we are today.
